This workshop is geared towards those considering a new puppy or those overwhelmed by a new puppy.  Topics include choosing the right dog for you, temperament testing, breed groups, proper socialization, learning theory, leadership exercises, confidence building, proper handling and other educational topics.  Behavior problems such as jumping, biting, chewing, digging, housebreaking are also discussed.  We cover basic grooming practices, heath care, vaccinations and the benefits of spaying/neutering.  There will be a Q & A session covering these and many other topics.

The Kidz "N Dogz Safety Workshop is geared towards children 4-11 years of age.  We inspire children to learn the proper way to address a puppy or dog with videos, workbooks and demo dog.  We discuss safety around aggressive and unfamiliar dogs, correct handling techniques, proper play, appropriate toys, proper feeding, grooming, and positive reinforcement training (beginner level) with lots of Q & A.

FIDO & THE NEW BABY - Preparing Your Dog for the Change (2 hours)

Bringing home a baby is new and exciting, even overwhelming at times, but how will your dog react to it all?  This seminar is geared towards helping you and your dog prepare for this lifetime event.  Students are instructed how to use positive reinforcement techniques to motivate the correct behavior issues before the baby arrives.  Setting your dog up for success is the goal.  Consistant communication is the key to helping him understand what will be expected of him.  This seminar is a must for first time parents where the dog was the "baby".
