Private
Lessons are a convenient alternative to group training. Private
lessons run about an hour (sometimes longer) and are customized to fit your
needs. They can be scheduled at your convenience. Your pet
will learn the basic commands; sit, stay, down, recall, walking on
leash, leave-it, drop it, etc. If your pet has specific issues
such as chewing, jumping, nipping or others, we can work on them
immediately. If you have two dogs, we can split the time between
both pets or alternate throughout the program. You may choose a
single visit or take advantage of our pre-paid package deal.
Private training has additional benefits:

be cumbersome to load up a crate and gather the kids.

We offer private consultation services for resolving
several behavioral problems. Most common problems can be resolved in 2 to 6 meetings. Working together with you and your vet to eliminate the
possibility of a medical cause, we will provide you with a diagnosis of
the problem and will offer practical solutions.

Unwanted
behaviors get worse never better without treatment. The Pet Tutor offers individualized one-on-one behavior treatment consultations to
address specific behavior problems which can't be solved in dog training
classes. Private training lessons to ensure the improvement of
your pet's behavior can be added as needed. The longer you
wait to solve a behavioral problem the more it will manifest itself and
the longer it will take to eradicate. The notion that the dog will simply 'grow out of it' is wrong and should not be adopted as an option.
AGGRESSION

cases are charged on a case by case basis and may require extensive
training which is NOT included in the package specials. Although
you may consider your dog's behavior aggression, call to discuss your
dog's behavior to determine if it is an aggression issue.

PET
COMBO PACK - 3 Private Lessons &
K-9 Manners Course
The
Pet Combo Pak is designed for those situations where the vet has recommended
that the dog or puppy not enter group class for health reasons or other physical/medical purpose or when additional training
is necessary. The Combo Pak is a flexible nine week program. We get together
for 3 in-home visits, once a week for about a hour. The private lessons
are customized to work on behavioral issues & obedience. You also
receive the 6 week K-9 Manners™
class which can be scheduled before, during or after individual lessons..

HOUSEBREAKING

We
provide In-Home Potty Training lessons for dogs & puppies. We will
assess your pets environment and your daily routine to create a program
especially for you. The techniques used in this program are all very
positive and set your pet up to succeed. The potty training lesson runs about an
hour to an hour and a half. Most cases only require one lesson..

"EXPRESS TRACK" (Board & Train

Our 2-week EXPRESS program offers the
best results in a short amount of time. Is your dog
growly, shy, fearful? Does he jump on everyone, grab your hands
with his mouth, run away from you when called? Need basic
manners? Our program uses the gentle
eTouch
method to train your dog. The eTouch method accelerates learning
and increases reliability while creating less stress for the dog than
other training techniques. Upon graduation, you will receive a
90 minute private session which includes required training
equipment. Your
dog leaves our program

BOARDING
SERVICES WILL BE DISCONTINUED AS OF SEPTEMBER 15TH
The Pet Tutor provides space for a limited number of
boarding requests from previous and current clients only.
Space is limited. If you are a past or current client, contact us for your boarding needs. Cost
is $25 per day (add $5 for second dog in same kennel). Our visitors enjoy a climate controlled, home-like environment with ceiling fans,
tv/stereo, windows/blinds, and
lots of personal attention. No extra charge for dispensing
medication, playtime, extra potty breaks, toys, treats or most of all - affection!
