Kim
Grieff has had a passion for animals all her life. Her
parents bred AKC registered poodles and yorkshire terriers, which
provided many learning experiences. During the years, Kim
has rescued and adopted several strays or unwanted dogs and
provided them with the loving and nurturing environment they
deserve. Her interest in canine communication flourished when she
commandeered to rescue a wild dog from the Hewlett Packard campus
in Houston. It took 4 weeks of pursuing through-out the
campus day and night. Eventually, the poor dog was so
tuckered out, she was caught by landscape workers while asleep
under a tree. She was named "Bridgette"
because she kept shelter under a highway bridge at HP.
Bridgette was approximately 16 weeks old and feral. After
months and months of working to earn her trust, Bridgette only had
slight improvement. Kim realized, without better understanding canine
behavior, it was impossible to communicate with Bridgette.
Unfortunately, Bridgette became very ill and was euthanized due to her illness.
Today, Kim volunteers her time, money and efforts at numerous
adoption and rescue organizations. These experiences are
Kim's motivation to educate owners about behavior
modification. Her ultimate goal is to decrease the
number of pets surrendered to shelters due to behavioral challenges that can be
overcome.
Kim
is a graduate of ABTA's
Animal
Behavior College (ABC) in Northridge, California. ABC offers a positive and effective
training program that produces highly motivated and qualified

coupled within a positive reinforcement curriculum. Kim is also a graduate
of the International
School for Dog Trainers in Montverde, Florida. There, she
learned the gentle and highly effective eTouch
method of training with world reknown dog trainer Martin Deeley.
Kim is certified in Pet First Aid and Care through PetTech.
She provides 6-hour pet first aid classes through the local
college system and private locations. Kim participates in continuing her education and understanding of
dogs by attending training / behavior conferences, seminars and
workshops each year.
Her canine family members include; Sugar
(a Miniature Schnauzer), Disney (a Dachshund rescue), Lilly (from a
local rescue group) and Miracle the only survivor from a litter of 9 due to canine
herpes. Kim serves the greater Tomball area including The
